The Trü Story
Tru Orthodontics initially began operating as Elhady Orthodontics in 2008. Dr. Sherif Elhady acquired the practice from Dr. Lina Johnson, who was one of the earliest female orthodontists in the Northern Virginia area.
His first satellite office opened in Fairfax, Virginia in 2011, and the practice continued to expand from there. In 2018, Dr. Elhady had a new vision: to mentor other orthodontists and build a practice that encourages professional growth for his associates.
The practice was rebranded as Trü Orthodontics, which embodies the values of transparency and trustworthiness in providing orthodontic advice. The name “Trü” reflects the primary goal of the practice: to treat patients like family and provide exceptional care with honesty and integrity.
