About Dr. Brodkin
Erika Brodkin, DMD, is a pediatric dentist whose focus is minimally invasive dental care for young patients from birth through adolescence. Her goal is to make each patient and their parent feel like a thousand bucks.
Dr. Brodkin was raised in Westchester County, New York. Growing up, she was interested in science and health, aspiring to work with children. She ultimately realized that a hands-on career in dentistry was the perfect fit. After earning her undergraduate degree at Barnard College in New York City, she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine from The University of Pennsylvania. She then combined her two passions, children and dentistry, when she continued her training in a pediatric dentistry postdoctoral program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Brodkin gained valuable experience by treating children with medical challenges, assisting dental students with clinical instruction, and working as a fellow in the NY Public School system. Upon receiving her certificate, Dr. Brodkin worked briefly in private practice before transitioning to a public health dental clinic that served a wide range of children of diverse backgrounds.
For Dr. Brodkin, it is rewarding and humbling to make a direct positive impact on children’s oral health clinically, medically, and emotionally.
Dr. Brodkin currently resides in Northern Virginia with her family.
